Hello, I’m Melissa Fulks (A.K.A – MF Writing)

I consider myself a forever student, constantly embarking on a journey to learn something new. My journey started at Arizona State University, where I took several courses in leadership, communication, and English.

I took my education to the next step, pursuing my Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing at the University of Denver, where I learned how to use my creativity to create beautiful works of literature.

In 2023, I returned to school to pursue a second master’s degree. This time a Master of English in Professional Writing. In my short time here I have already learned about SEO optimization, accessibility, and how to write various technical documentation.

I have been a professional caregiver since 2009, offering Habilitation, Attendant Care, and Respite services.

RESEARCHER LEAD

I have been a Researcher Lead for Animal Crossing Community since 2020. In this position, I lead a team of up to 10 Researchers. We are responsible for delivering a quarterly newsletter, creating and maintaining over 179 game guides, and running on-site events.

Additionally, I manage the company’s Instagram account and content.

VICE PRESIDENT OF COMMUNICATIONS

Ferry Godmother Productions

I started my career with Ferry Godmother Productions in March of 2023. I started as a blog writer and was promoted three weeks later to Project Manager of the Content Creation and Scriptwriter teams.

In my Project Manager position, I maintained two teams of 3-4 members and ensured they produced high-quality writing. I taught and ensured that the Content Creation team created SEO-optimized pieces with proper keyword usage.

In March 2024, I was promoted to Vice President of Communications for the company. Besides my previous responsibilities, I now oversee all internal and external company documents and attend meetings with potential contracts.

TECHNICAL WRITING

I am most versed in writing SEO-optimized articles, games, and instructional guides. I am detail-oriented and review each line of a piece before sending it to an editor or sending it back to a writer after editing it myself.

CREATIVE WRITING

I am an aspiring novelist and currently have two books in the works. I am mainly a romance writer, but I include fantasy elements in all my stories.
